Integrated on board vision.

I'm just starting work on a crude vision system for my RN......There are two reasons I have chosen to create a thread here instead of the RN section: 1. I will not be using the RN micro-controller (I would like to use a parallax propeller) to do the image capture and processing. 2. I hope if it works, it will be relevant to any small robot.

So far I have mounted two Mitsubishi M64282FP camera modules, on a servo:

There is limited space inside, to put small PCB's ; I hope to put as much processing as i can inside the head:

This is all the relevant information I have on the modules:

http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/ ... etect2.htm
http://www.geocities.com/vjkemp/M64282FP.PDF

I appreciate any help, especially if you have used a M64282FP before.

I am easily distracted by other less demanding mods, so without collaboration/help it may be a long time before I get this working.

My basic objectives are line following and distance estimation...(not exactly cutting edge stuff)
