A comparable robot to the I-sobot

A few weeks back someone posted something about a humanoid robot available in a kit that was the same size as the isobot. I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on this. I looked for the thread, but could not find it.

You're probably thinking of the GeStream humanoid kit that popped up around September. From the limited information available it doesn't look like much of a competitor for the i-SOBOT other than being a fraction of an inch shorter. We're still waiting for more data to be released before drawing any conclusions about it.
