The web site at http://www.robots-dreams.com has a lot of fantastic robot news, videos, photos, and info. During my travel, robots.dreams has provided countless hours of fantastic robot information. The man who runs this web site is a pure genius.

Unfortunately, in some countries, the web site is blocked. I happen to be located in one of those countries.

Is there any mirror, or another web site that has the same content? Maybe I would be able to access it here. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been totally swamped for the past few weeks. And, thanks for all the kind words. They are very much appreciated.

I think I can easily guess which country. My stats took a hit when they blocked Robots Dreams, though I still can't figure out why they wanted to block it in the first place. It may have been because I use Typepad for the backend and there are some other Typepad blogs that they needed to block.

Anyway, it looks like you got the access problems sorted out, which is great.

All the best

Travel does take me to interesting places. It's very interesting to learn that Typepad is the likely reason for the web site being blocked. That would explain why many other blogging sites are blocked as well. I used to rely on Wikipedia for a lot of information, and apparently this uses something similar to Typepad. Of course it would be best to connect direct and the browsing would not be so slow, and most times not all the photos load in - it's just a partial loading, but it's way better than nothing!

But oddly enough, when trying to get to all those fantastic Robo-One photos on Flikr, they end up blocked too. A few times, the Flikr block was lifted so this is obviously a sign of things to come. It's really a trying situation when we only want robot information and the sites are blocked for other reasons.

I really believe the Great Wall block will be lifted soon, as everywhere you look here there is growing capitalism, more freedom, more and more people are educated, and the standard of living is increasing, in addition to world economic global exchange and expansion, and many international free trade agreements. Industry is huge here, and there are even two large manufacturing plants making i-SOBOT humanoids as I've heard. I hope to have a look at that!!! If so, will report back the news here so stay tuned...
:-)

If the pictures are blocked, I'd try another Proxy.

I've found a few very fast Proxies.

Thanks and you're absolutely right. I went into a list and tried several, and the differences in speed is like day and night. It's a good thing they're rotated from time to time as well. I like the fact that their use is extremely simple. After suffering for several months and not able to view my favorite web sites (as you know, I love robots-dreams, it's at the top of the list), I know now I should have posted about this sooner. Truly, the proxy is one of the most helpful things in the internet world! AND the Robosavvy forum and its members have come to my rescue on numerous occasions - so the Robosavvy forum world is equally helpful!
