Hey All,
I'm using a servo to operate a mouth in a puppet with a fiberglass head.
Unfortunately, the fiberglass, (or any hard substance for that matter), acts as a resonating board and the servo operation is noisy.
I've mounted my Futaba S3101 mini servo in a bit of silicone to help dampen the sound of the servo operation, but, it's still louder then I want it.
Does anyone know of any manufacturer or type of 'mini' servo that is relatively silent?
Yes I know about pneumatics, but, I can't go there right now.
I'm looking for a "silent" 4.8v-6V "off the shelf" mini servo.
I've heard about packing the servo case with vaseline..
Anyone with any ideas?
Thanks!
Dave
