Inex POP-BOT standard

Hi everybody,

I was searching for a arduino-based project for school (IT course) and I found on your website the Inex POP-BOT (standard) which I think it can be the best solution.

The problem is that I need to use Java on the Arduino platform ("NanoVM" JVM), so I think I need to change the HEX file of the bootloader (correct me if I'm wrong).

So, the question: to change the HEX file of the bootloader, is it necessary to have the programmer (i.e. PX-400) or not? Is there another way to do it?
In case I change the bootloader, is there a way then to change it back to the original one (using programmer or an alternative way)?

Hi Elio

Since the ISP pins are exposed, you can ofcourse install any firmware compatible with ATMega168. The cpu is not locked so you can backup and restore the original fimware.
