Left: Shsan (aka Laurent) contemplates a Gordian Knot of servo cables.

It was a little bit of a 'trek' - close to two hours by train one way, but since Monday was a national holiday here in Japan, Laurent and I managed to link up for about 5 hours or so. No robot battles, but he did have the answer to a problem with setting up my remote control, and I was able to give him some suggestions about alignment and trimming.
The modifications he's made to his KHR-2HV are really interesting - pan & tilt head servos, video camera, laser pointer that may become a range finder, grippers, and quite a few other goodies.
He was also kind enough to walk me through the work he's done with the Microsoft Robotics Studio.
