I've seen it too and I'll find in the next few days when they can send a couple for testing. There's a link to a video clip that shows the KHR-1 with and without the stabilizer. check this link. If it works as advertised, we'll stock them here on RoboSavvy soon. I saw a curious note on the (translated) kondo page about international shipping restrictions for that module. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

ok, i got some answers about the gyro. It is not yet ready for shipping for the KHR-1. The interface to the RCB-1 is not yet ready. In addition, it requires an "end user" agreement. Which means that if we (RoboSavvy) resell this, we have to inform the Japanese supplier about the name of the person that buys it.
I've seen this requirement years ago with high-end UNIX workstations but it was a requirement dictated by the US government.
this Gyro sensor seems to be Japanese. So why whould they care if the sensor is used to make stabilizers for propelled granades or something similar??

I saw the restrictions aswel.
I guess there's a chip in it with a military licence or something.
I'm not to worried though because i'm a regestered KHR-1 owner.
The part of the interface being not ready surprises me because it
seems to operate with the pc-1 interface. The same one the KHR-1 uses.
Please keep me informed about any news on this. I was ready to order 2 units but now i will wait until the situation is clear.
Btw have you seen the paper armour suit they sell now? Lol
Maybe i'll make my own out of clear lexan.

Incredible! These guys make such cool stuff!
Hm.. Lexan.. having your home CNC machine has its merits but wont it add some extra weight to the body?
BTW: I finally got some technical information about the POT position feedback protocol that RCB-1 boards use to communicate with the KRS servos. I'm going to try and implement it with an AVR micro on the way to making my own controler board in the future.
