I was thinking about it, but would have to take a day off work.

Are they paying you for your time?!!?

I'd jump at the chance to have my robot appear on the Gadget show, and to meet Jason Bradbury in person. I might even pay them. 8O

He's a big fan of humanoids, and posted a lot about them in the past - especially when he visited one of the robot events in Korea a while back. Who knows, he might even let folks play with his homemade hoverboard.

No chance them paying.

The only problem is that I live in bristol so do I want to sit on the mega bus all the way to london.

Yes would probably be the answer, but then again when I'm standing in the rain waiting for the bus it's another story.

Hello

Been in birmingham for the gadget show filming today. Showing off my KHR-2. the show airs on the 20th of this month and you're like the content and you get to see my robot do a cartwheel then pressup then bow for the audiance.

really enjoyed it, there was robot a plenty. lots of RN with the hitec rep there to show it off on the show and one for a price give away.

there was Rep001's RN their the head looks really nice in person but your feet still look like there in the prototype stage. (was it you RB1000). lots of mind storm bots in different styles. Even the new dyson robot vacuum cleaner.

I got my hands on the first MANOI in europe to haved a look at, it wasn't assembled but got to look at the kit. It even comes will a battery charger thats half the box!

Speaking to the Hitec rep, he showed off the new kit that they are going to do which consists of a bluetooth playstation style contoller and the bluetooth module so that you can contol it directly. Very jealous wish one was coming out for the KHR-2.

Have some pics so will post them later this weekend.

 That's RoboSavvy's new Manoi demo unit!! Just arrived from Japan 2 days ago and was shipped overnight to the Birmingham studio. A brand new KHR-2HV box was there too and a KHR-1. Hopefully everything was packed back properly.
This effort was done in the hope that they will do a little pre-xmas RoboSavvy mentioning on national TV..

Please do post some pictures on this thread (Manage File Uploads)

rep001 - they usedd your bots as static props arounnd the studio don't know if they did any close up, they said that you broke your RN before you shipped it to them. the RB1000 looks so sweet, I real like the fact that the servos have extra holes to screw the metal to rather then having to remove the 4 servos screws all the time.

About the contoller/bluetooth, as they now do they own bluetooth module I would recon not to long as it looked like it work really well plus they didn't make the controller they just found a bluetooth one that work. So when ever they decide to market it is the only time delay.

Yes all your robots where they robosavvy, I had a good look at the KHR-1 compared to my KHR-2 and I must say that the person that replaced the metal brackets for the plastic ones must have been mad. I broke two of the little s**t's so I'm going to order the metal replacement.

Will up load the pictures once I can get them off my phone lost the lead so will have to find a friend to do it for my.

Hi all at robosavvy!

I was surfing robosavvy when I stumbled across a threat featuring me!! Fantastic :-)

I'm the bald presenter of The Gadget Show and was tasked with putting Robonova through his paces in our recent Robot Olympics (TX this Monday 19.15 Channel Five [UK]).

As Lem over at robot-dreams has reported - I've been mad about Robonova since seeing his early iteration on a trip to South Korea (the trip was laid on by LG to see their HD TV production plant but me and my producer Ewan pegged it to a Robotic event on the outskirts of town!)

Suffice it to say I was blown away by RN's agility and have wanted one ever since. So, not only is the forthcoming episode of The Gadget Show an opportunity to witness some great technology in action - it was my chance to purchase my own RN.

He's sat on my desk as I type - searching endless forums and FTPs in search of code I can copy and paste - to make him high kick, cartwheel and generally be a bad ass!

Thanks to everyone who was involved - a really nice gang of people - and if anyone has any code for cool moves my RN can bust - hey - email it to me people - as I'm thinking of taking him with me to do my slot this Sunday for BBC Radio Five Live and could do with some impressive moves. Remember, I'm a complete RoboBASIC novice so I'd appreciate either an idiots cut and paste job - or clear instructions (I still don't where to insert knicked code into that bloody Template program!!!)

You'll find my mail addy in the right column of my blog www.jasonbradbury.com

Keep up the good work. I promise to mention Robosavvy.com in my column for www.five.tv this weekend.

Best
Jason

I did put a few moves up that you need to insert into the basic template. just paste them at the end.
Then go up and change line 0073 (or line 0070 depending on the template) to point to the new routine, where the routine is k_kick in the first example, will be run when you press number 1 on the remote.
So just change GOSUB bow_pose to point to the new routine.
Add more in the same way for other buttons.

Looking forward to watching the show.
