Introduction of a former lurker

Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't see anywhere else I could post my introduction but the general area.

I'm pretty much new to robotics aside from my old lego mindstorms and various solar powered pre-made robot toys. I've always yearned to have my own humanoid kit but had the problem of not having enough savings set aside after finishing my studies back in 2006. I may have a late start but I'm happy to finally enter the hobby.

I live in British Columbia, Canada and hope there are some members nearby (be it the same country but in a different province or across the border) who could help point me out to a good distributor or online store I can go to?

Well, you already are in a very nice robot shop, Robosavvy

Which type of robots are you more interested in? Bipeds, quadrupeds, hexapods, vehicles? Programming, electronics, mechanics?

By the way, I've never seen more beatiful natural landscapes than in Canada, I hope I will be there for holidays any time soon

I am currently interested in humanoid robots although I wouldn't mind exploring other types once I'm more experienced.

Hopefully shipping to Canada with robosavvy isn't too bad.
