Upcoming RoboSavvy site upgrade

RoboSavvy.com has been up for 27 months and it is time to update it with the latest online community tools. The new RoboSavvy site will look pretty much like the current one but will have several new features to empower our growing community of humanoid robot builders.

    * User blog/article publishing with a WYSIWYG (tinyMCE) editor. Also allowing other users to comment on a published article (similar to engadget/slashdot). Published articles will be viewable ordered by date or by user and also appear on the home page if worthy of it.

    * Knowledgebase for Bioloid and other humanoids - possibly similar to the Robonova Knowledgebase... Actually still looking for an interactive community editable book with Table-of-content (an AJAX book system)..

    * Multi-language support - any article can be translated by users and viewed in other languages.

    * Much needed video embedding capability into articles and forum posts and also an improved file uploding mechanism.

If you have any requests or ideas for useful online community tools, please post a reply on this thread.

Hi,
I rilly like the blue/green defalt color of every thing and I also like the who-is-on/PM/Latest-Forum-Posts bar and the bar on the other side with all the robotic sites and thare resent posts! But before I start on the next part I want to say this is one of the best internet sites of all time! And I could be way off with inprove ments, and thay could be unpracticle, but here thay are, inprove ment could in clued:

1) Biger PM boxes, altho 100 is a lot!

2) Like you sayed, have it ware you can post vids

3) Have it a opion to turn off pics, avatars, vids, etc. because it slows
down the loading time if your on a slow connetion (I do not have that
problem thow, as I'm on a fast connetion)

4) Well I guss this is not rilly a inprove ment but I'll post it here any way,
I rilly like the way thares not ads every ware theres only the BuyNow
secion but that is under control meaning its not flashing, etc.

These are very small things thow so don't feell like you have to do it!

thanks

Keep up the good work.

I vote for NO flashing stuff.
