            Hi,
If you're thinking of robot dog with legs, then its the same issue as a humanoid with the same number of servos...power.
There are kits out there that are dog shaped.
Alternatively, if you think of robot dog like Doctor Who's K9, which is wheeled,  then motion/power is more efficient, but I think it would required a custom built job.
