Converting KHR-2HV to MANOI

Since the KHR and MANOI are so similar, why can't we write a program that will convert motion files for the KHR (Many more exist than the MANOI)?

The conversion should simply follow some rules. Obviously the channels are different. I suspect the values for movement are different. What else? If we had a list of the differences, we could write a tranlator program that would convert the plain text RCB file for the KHR to use on the MANOI...

Damn, if someone had a brain at KONDO/HITEC/KYOSHO/BIOLOID/ETC. they would come up with a STANDARDIZED format for motions that would be robot independent. Then a configuration file would set what YOUR robot's unique qualities were and the standard file would be adjusted accordingly... This seems especially reasonable for KHR and MANOI...

If we do not handle this ourselves, Bill Gates is going to command the standards FOR US. The last time he did that, you see the disaster.

Anyone have a clue on the differences? Is the HTH3 program the SAME for both robots:?:

I think the controllers are different. I think the new KHR-1HV has the same controller has the Manoi.

I believe you are correct.

But they are using the same software to drive them, and the common denominator is the RCB files. The software STILL defines the motions in the same way, I suspect.

The KHR-2HV uses the RCB-03J while the MANOI uses the RCB-03HV... not too much difference there. However, the MANOI and KHR are proportionally different. It is possible that each other’s routines aren't compatible.

 I don't know... I just started screwing around w/ the RCB-03HV again.

And is that not something that can be mathematically calculated to be equivalent? (I have no idea what proportionally different could mean!)

Does any one know the different between the RCB-03J and the RCB-03HV As the servos are both the same type just different version they shouldn't be that different. Any idea!
