so i gather you are happy with your $1000 Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1 ?
As a very happy EX-F1 owner, I thought I would pipe in with my own experience. The EX-F1 isn't for everyone, and I'm sure that some prosumer photographers won't be satisfied, but for my work, and personal use, it's fantastic. All the photos and videos I did at RoboGames in June were taken with the EX-F1. Not only was the image quality great, the number of action photo 'keepers' was much, much higher than what I was able to do with any of my previous cameras.
The downside - with the high speed image capture I'm taking close to 10x the number of photos at any event that involves motion. It takes a bit more time to sort through them and pick out the 'keepers' afterwards, but it is certainly worth the effort.
The EX-F1 also allows me to operate with just a single camera rather than juggling a digital camera and video cam at the same time, which is what I used to do.
