Of course, limor, here we go:

1. Take 1 steam engine (here: SUN from Stuart Turner) with 2 pistons:

Image

Image

2. Combine it with 1 Tamiya gearbox:

Image

3. Take 1 boiler (Regner) with 1 oiler:

Image

4. Advantageous are 4 tires and 2 Tamiya-axles from a dump-truck, further 1 yellow gas tank:

Image

5. Go to your refrigerator and remove the door. Cut the sheet into form, use 1 model if you are not shure:

Image

Thats all. 5 servos and 1 rc are required. And some money, all in all someting about € 1.500.

We have a sibiric winter. I could not test the car outside, it would burst into seconds. But it runs shortly in the house. It is fast. I will make a video if we survive the cold.

Where are those wheels from and the steering axle and suspension?
What machines do you have for fabricating stuff ?

limor, we are leaving more and more the robotics. Thats Off Topic, i assume, and i hope its ok.

But no matter, here we go:

The wheels are from KAVAN, they are under pressure with 1 bar (14 psi). And if KAVAN says 1 bar, they mean 1 bar. I tried 3 bar, but just for a short while:

Image

The axles are from a Tamiya Dump Truck. The Suspension is realy none, the axles are only minimal moveable to absorb the direct shock of an impact. The air wheels have to do the work, and the torsion of the chassis.

My machine park is small, i use a vertical drilling machine, a small lathe, a plate shear and a big hammer. further a blowpipe, a machinist vise and a power drill.

What are you using in your workshop?

For the weekend the Avus is booked. Record trip! , Citizen of Berlin remembers: dela turns a movie! My new driver is just checking again everything precisely. To think not, if with 20 km/h a wheel nut separates! I participated in the maintenance work and bring you a few pictures:

I know, you are waiting for the movie. That unfortunately shifts. Burner and clutch problems, in addition Achille has a cold and want not to drive.
Meanwhile, here is an excellent side to the silver arrows, which clears up also with the myth of the lacquer sanding:

Short Info:

The power is still too low. I have to massively increase the current in any case. A vacuum blower is definitely to install. And of course, replacing the transmission. New safety valves are also available. And a new gas line. The fireplace opening I drill on yet, getting updated eventually with a bypass. The burner, yes, I must also work on again. Gas downpipe and steering linkage are even smaller sites. And a brake needs the best, i.e. two disc brakes on the front axle. The Oiler is to drill down, and a heat exchanger installed. Little things just.

And the worst: Achille has such accusations because of the failed record attempt, which is hardly comforting: (

Got a message from my boys from the Ural:

Again unforeseen incidents in your russian ural laboratorys.
Yesterday our Team found something buried under the ice.
An autopsy of The Thing revealed that its cells are still alive.
Hours later, Terror approaches...

Don´t miss it:

The Thing - OLGA Trailer
