i-SOBOT Dog: How to Bypass the Random Function

Here's a good tip, if you want to play only one of the random functions, such as the Dog imitation. For example, in Special Action mode, key in the sequence code for "Randomly imitates an animal," (ABB). Now quickly press GO on the controller. Note the display changes to one of five possible SA numbers each time. Quickly press GO repeatedly until you see the code for the dog (SA-09) and immediately stop pressing GO. The code will be transmitted to i-SOBOT. This is how you select the the single imitation you want.

The key now is to go into program mode and incorporate the dog into action pattern blocks. If anyone knows how to do a single imitation in program mode, please post here. Thanks.

How would you enter any one of these into the program mode?

As far as I know, these are indicators that appear on the LCD screen for each action in Special Action Mode.

I have tried a few different ways but it is still random. In Special Action mode you have to hit ABB go and keep doing this to scroll through the random actions you want. I have noticed that if you do this slow he will tip over and fall on his chest. Make sure to hit ABB go fast until you get to the correct action.

The method described is the only known way to extract one of the random functions using i-SOBOT's supplied infrared controller - and the controller button must be quickly pressed repeatedly as you have also noted. It's very interesting to know there's an infrared signal capture mode using the additional device that receives and interprets the IR signals. I came across this information when reading about the Tower. As a result, the Robodance software has the individual actions extracted from the random function, i.e. you can send an individual chicken command or a dog command, etc. Amazing, right?!

Yes, but most suppliers of the usbuirt are out. I am correct in saying that you need robodance and a usbuirt to control isobot with robodance.
