The results are in, and our first Robot Internet Fighting match is complete. Thanks to trey3670 and AlphA for being our first robot fighters. They put our service to the test, and were able to fight live, in real time over the internet. We learned a few things from this first match, and will keep improving until we get it just right. We should have video edited and uploaded of the actual fight that took place within a few days. Stay tuned for more updates!

We have posted a new video with some of the action shots from the Robot Internet Fighting matches we have hosted over the past 2 weeks. Keep in mind that the people driving the robots are on separate sides of the country, or even overseas! The video in this clip shows what you will see on your screen when you sign up for your Robot Internet Fighting match.

That was good fun battling against Droidworks.

Amazing how well it works considering the vast distances involved

Thanks

Many thanks to the other Robosavvy forum users who dropped by to check out our Robot Internet Fighting. Orac and Droidworks went head to head for about 20 minutes. Later on, Srobot was able to join as a spectator while another fighting match was in progress. The video conferencing software we use claims up to six people can watch the video, and this was a good test to prove that it worked. We will do another all-day marathon sometime in the near future. Stay tuned for details!

Based on the success of our last two events, we are changing our schedule for Robot Internet Fighting. You no longer need to make an appointment for a fighting match. We are setting specific hours and days each week when fighting matches will occur. You can log in and start fighting anytime during the appointed hours.

We've hosted more than 4 hours of total fighting time, and our robots have some battle scars to show for it. Fortunately, the damage is limited to colored masking tape. No real damage, yet. This demonstrates that these robots really pack a poweful punch.

Don't forget that our current schedule is Friday and Monday nights, and mid-day Saturday.
