The dates will be June the 24th and 25th at our Union Station. I post more details when I get them but there will be robotic competitions of all kinds. The big two that I am working on are mech-warfare and humanoid kung-fu. Most of the local schools will be there showing off their robotics programs.

Right now a table at the event is free and all competitions are free to participate in.

I am still still looking for ideas on competitions, workshops and talks. If you have an idea please send me an e-mail.

There are only 14 days until the Kansas City Maker’s Faire. If you have not checked out our website lately you should! As of today, we have over 200 makers signed up and about 150 booths. The booth topics range from arts and crafts to robotics and tesla coils. We have many of the local high schools showing up with their first robots. We are setting up a robotics area with a mech-warfare arena and an arena for robot demos. We have three of the mech warfare metal winners from Robogames 2011 and Andrew Alter its creator. As of today the speaker list will include Dale Dougherty and Tim O’Reilly of Make and O’Reilly books. Neil Gershenfeld will talk about Fab lab and personal fabrication. Marcin Jakubowski will talk about his DIY village idea. Also MakerBot Industries has just signed up. I should also mention that ArcAttack, one of the coolest music groups ever will be doing shows all weekend. The dates our June the 25th and June the 26th at Union Station Kansas City, Mo.
