Upgrading Beginner's to Full kit

Now that I am upgrading my beginner's kit to the full by purchasing 8 extra servos I realized that the metal shoe plates are missing from the beginner's kit. What purpose do they serve? Are they really necessary or can I omit them from Huno. I would suspect that they add more weight to the legs to give extra stability. If they are indeed necessary, where can I find them?

By the way, does the email of the manufacturer work? I have sent 2 emails here --> customer.service@robobuilder.net but they havent replied.I found this email on the back side of the beginner's manual. On their website nothing is mentioned....weird

hi

btw you will also find that the chest cover is missing. That is not included in the kit.

However neither part is fundamental.

I don't really know what is the purpose of the metal shoe plates. Maybe they are for weight balancing or added resistance against wearing, although they are not that heavy anyway.

If I were in your position I would glue some "sand paper" (I hope you understand what I mean) to add some extra friction to the feet. and would simply skip/dispense the metal plates.

The metal plates slip a lot and I will be doing this mod on mine soon, as well.
