connector pinouts?

Can anyone identify the pins in the RoboBuilder connectors — especially the 6-pin connector that goes into the head?

(I'm trying to hack some of my own electronics into the head, and having a bit of trouble.)

Thanks,
- Joe

The connector pinout is shown in the attached.

You may just want to check with a meter. I am not sure when the PSD power is enabled.

For my PS2 controller, I emulate the IR protocol from a PIC.

Thanks! In fact I did check with a meter, and found 5V on pin 2, so thought I was in good shape. But as soon as I attach my circuit (a little blinky LED thing driven by an ATtiny32), the voltage sags to about 3V or so, and my circuit doesn't run.

So I guess pin 2 (PSDOUT?) wasn't the right thing to try to draw power from... looks like I should have used pin 1, though that didn't read 5V in my tests. Probably I need to enable that power line from software, as you imply above. Which will be a little neat in that I will be able to turn my blinky LEDs on for maximum dramatic effect. :)

But drat. Next time I'll look at the schematic before I start soldering! It's fixable though. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know what make/type/part number of the connectors that are used on the Robobuilder for connecting to the servos?

hi

this has previouslly been posted here: https://robosavvy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=17172 under the topic "wCK connectors".

I believe the head connector has not been documented yet though; only the servo connectors have.
