The various metal gears upgrade options are now available in store for pre-order as I mentioned in another post.

Pre-orders until Apr 27th will receive a significant discount in some of the items (the discount is advertised as a special price with each item in the store).

I would like to point out the following:
- Set of Metal Gears nº 4 for Robobuilder kits - this set of gears includes 16 gears nº 4 for your Robobuilders: 12 for 1108 and 4 for 1111
http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... cts_id/530

- Pack of 4 METAL Gears nº 1 for 1111 to upgrade the 1111s in the kit to ALL metal gears
http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... cts_id/527

- 12 METAL Gears nº 1, 2 & 3 for 1108 to upgrade the 1108s in the kit to ALL metal gears
<strike>http:// robosavvy.com/store/product_info.php/products_id/525</strike>
http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... cts_id/524 (you'll need to purchase 12 of these for the 12 1108 servos in the Robobuilder kit)

Please note the promotional prices on the 4th Metal Gear are only valid until <strike>April 27th</strike> May 3rd.

Cheers
Pedro

Hi

Here are the instructions for replacing gears in wCK modules:
http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Rob ... t%20-1.pdf

This is essentially a reminder as this document had previously been posted in a different context.
With the new metal gears accessories I believe it is pertinent to re-post these instructions.

They are very thorough and the process is nicely explained.
Replacing gears 1/2/3 is easy from my experience.
The replacement of gear 4 is also simple. The only special attention required in this one is making sure the shaft fits correctly in the potentiometer when re assembling it.

It is also a good practice to apply some lubricant on the newly installed gears (a very small amount).

Hi all

To help understanding what kind of gears are packed with each kit and part, I have put together a chart that helps explain that. It is available here:
http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Rob ... eGuide.pdf

Store pages will be progressively updated to link to it.

We have also placed the metal gears in store again (we had temporarily suspended sales as the supplier was unable to satisfy the demand).
