Hi

The Metal Brackets Kit is now available in store here http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... cts_id/533 . Here is a picture:

I apologise for the delay between the announcement and the appearance of the items in store but I've been involved in internal management tasks for the past 2~3 weeks that took more time than I expected.

I have finally been able to add everything to store.

<strike>I also added a "High Torque / High Power Upgrade Pack" that is basically a:</strike>
1x LiPo Kit
1x Set of Metal Gears 1,2&3 for wCK 1108
1x Pack of 4 Metal Gears 1 for wCK 1111

EDIT: The above kit is not available at this time; you can still get all the metal gears in our store if you're looking for an extreme reliability experience but we no longer have the LiPo.
We have put together a Metal Gear Upgrade guide here
http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Rob ... eGuide.pdf so you can find out what you need for your upgrade.

It's basically one item that includes all the necessary parts for the High Torque upgrade as I had discussed in previous posts. I believe this should make it less complicated to get the necessary items for the upgrade. (After this initial release phase we will probably work towards simplifying the metal gears / lipo sku's a bit. )

Most likely you will also need the Set of Metal Gears 4 for Robobuilder - http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... cts_id/530 -
because you'll probably have one of the early models that came with Gear 4 in plastic.

The bottom line is that for high torque you need an 11V power supply and servos with ALL metal gears.

Here is a video of a Robot with the Metal Brackets + LiPo + Full Metal Gears:
<embed src="http://blip.tv/play/Aea9VpLCUg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="421" height="354" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></p>

This was advertised as the 5740K robot but indeed once you apply the Metal Brackets and the Lipo + Metal Gears your robot will become essentially similar (in terms of looks and speed) to the one above.

Pedro.

Hi

Here is part of the assembly instructions for the metal brackets kit (leg parts):
http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Rob ... sembly.pdf

The full assembly instructions for the Robobuilder Metal Brackets Kit are scheduled to be released by Robobuilder in the week of May 11th.
I will post them here once I have them.

I chose to post the partial instructions already so you can get a better idea of how the kit was designed and built and how it compares to the standard joint-insert assembly system.
