Hi
Just wanted to drop a quick note for all those interested in upgrading Gear 4 to metal their Robobuilders that the special price for metal gears 4 will end in May 3rd.
The manufacturer (Robobuilder) agreed on offering this one-time only discount on Metal gears nº 4 for previous Robobuilder owners who wish to perform this upgrade.
The discount is ~31 GBP in a full set of 16 metal gears number 4. The total with discount for the full set is 63 gbp (inc vat).
This upgrade already comes standard in all new Robobuilder batches and is aimed at improving reliability.
In my personal opinion I do believe this poses an interesting upgrade option in the short term for improved reliability. In the long run you can later evolve to full metal gears and/or a LiPo for High Torque and High Speed.
