very very nice!

May I ask why you added the metal piece in front of the distance sensor? Is that just for the "looks" or does it have some specific function?

Also, I see you have the metal brackets for the 3rd servo on the arms (the one with multiple holes)... Is that correct?

Very nice, how fiddly was it to add the metal brackets?

This is a more recent picture.

Pedro:
* Silver visor has no function....I think its 8) all the hip Korean Robo-One Bots are wearing them :) well maybe

Yes....just a cheap way to get extra reach using the brackets that came in the kit. Maybe I will get some more servos for wrist and end effector some time in the future...when my budget allows.

Orac:
* Not too fiddly, I think it was interesting really....hence the i-Bot inspired modification in the latest picture....ie Carbon Fibre Knee joints, and metal biceps (recycled knee brackets)

Thanks for the interest guys

Hi Novaone

Will iBot be present this time? I believe he pimped up his robobuilder for fighting so you may have found the first 2 competitors :)

Hi there,

i have posted some pictures of my 20DOF Robobuilder.
I have upgraded him with a bluetooth module and an acceleration sensor.
I used the ESD200 from robosavvy and I have the jig starter kit from sena. There is a firmware upgrade to 1.1.7 for those ESD200 bluetooth modules. Just to let you know :)

Currently i'm modifying some basic moves and shall post them if i'm ready.

Cheers

veryyyyy coool 8)

have you been doing some fighting with it?
Since you have the BT module, you can use a PS2 controller attached to the PC ;)

I have posted some fighting moves on this forum but they are for 16DOF.
I believe iBot has a tool that can modify the files and upgrade them to 20 DOF easilly ;)

cheers
Pedro.

Nice full spec. Robobuilder :)

Looks like you have all the available Upgrades including Lipo battery and metal gears.....does it seem much more powerful?

How much does it weight and how height does it stand?

Do you mind asking about the status of the Humanoid robot community in the Netherlands? Do you have many meetings/events. Or do you have other plans for you robot?

Thanks for the comments.
Currently I only use the motions provided by Pedro. And fine tuning the basic posture.
Not all the metal gears have arrived yet but the will come. Even so with the RBC with sound chip installed.

I shall measure the weight and height this weekend and post it.

I have no idea about a humanoid robot community in the netherlands.
Never looked for it :).

The plans, well i also have a KHR-1HV and want them to play soccer/fight against each other.
One thing I hope that in the next firmware comes available is realtime mixing of the acceleratormeter data into the motions. Now you can only use the sensor reading for actions. e.g. a bit more freedom of programming robobuilder.

Cheers,
Ries
