Hi everyone!

About a month ago I bought a robobuilder from this site. So far, I have been very happy with it, and I recently started a project to write custom firmware for it using the open source C libraries (as opposed to the AVR ones).

I decided to create a blogbook, so that anyone attempting to work with the robobuilder using C could read about my mistakes and learn from them.

I have a number of goals for this project, including kinodynamic balance, monocular vision, and task planning. I plan to make all of the source available for other robot enthusiasts, so if you are interested, please have a look:

Hi,

Myself and Joe Strout have been writing a customer firmware for robobuilder using open source http://code.google.com/p/robobuilderlib/. I'm happy to add you as a contributor if you're interested.

The main areas of development have been binary transfer protocols to enable flexible control from the PC (where the real smarts will sit). Quite a few basic canned motions have been added. I've also created a simple/micro basic interpreter. I'm currently updating to take advantage of the features published in the latest C source code release (converting from AVR) - but my LISP project is taking the time at the moment.

Hi l3v3rz, thanks for your reply. I had a look at the google code project, and I think it looks really great. I would be glad if you could add me as a contributor.

Sorry for my late reply - I got sidetracked. :D
