Hallo

Seeing as I've spent a fair amount of time making this, thought I'd share it with the community!

I got the 5720T kit a while back, and after playing with it in the various standard forms, I decided to go for a custom design - after a while of messing about I've ended up with this:

It's not pretty, but then I'm a programmer by trade :)

For those who are interested, the firmware, is nearly all custom, with some minimal bits and bobs nicked from the standard Robobuilder code.. All the movement is calculated using inverse kinematics - at the moment it's just a set of preset sequences triggered by the IR remote, or by a PC app over bluetooth/serial.

My next step is to mount the head on another servo so it can pan, and start using the PIR sensor to do some automatic walking+obstacle avoidance...plus a million other things!!!

Thanks! Inspired by the 'Controlling Robobuilder with the Mobile Phone' topic, I suddenely remembered I had an old HTC Windows Mobile phone lying around, so I ported my PC control app and as a quick test I added control of the body rotation by the accelerometer:

Next up, Wii Remote & Nunchuk control, should be much more fun to play with than the IR remote...
