Hi all

We've been working to renew our line up of Robobuilder products and accessories.

Our main priority for this renewal was focusing on accessories to mod or tweak your robot that are not too expensive and are in line with the good value for money nature of the Humanoid ("low cost" compared to other offers).

To begin with, we'll be getting Metal Chest frames for the 5710K and 5720T.
We'll be getting these in RED and BLUE. Here is a pic of a Standard 5710K with the chest fitted:

This chest also enables and helps with other possibilities besides the very nice looks given that it can be assembled and disassembled without having to rmeove the RBC controller (it has 4 screws in the neck)!

We're evaluating fitting a Robobuilder with an IGEP module (CortexA8) capable of running full Linux. We tested and the module fits nicelly in between the two servos in the chest and it can, out of the box, communicate with Robobuilder without any wires (just using Bluetooth if you like). Since Robobuilder is by far the Robot with the easiest API, it's an ideal candidate.

FYI if you're into experimenting with IGEP/Linux RoboSavvy can sponsor your work with materials, etc. Just let us know! :)

The second item we're getting are the Fighting/Metal Forearms. We've seen some demand for these here on the forum we'll be getting a few of those and see how the market responds.

This is not the T01 Robot (we are unable to get it) but we're getting close enough and you can get most of the individual parts and mod your robot to your needs.

We're also working on a solution for Grippers (especially now that we have a Makerbot 3D Printer :) ) but that may still be a few weeks away.

We don't have final prices on these accessories yet but expect the metal chests to be priced around 25-30 GBP and the Fighting/Metal Forearms about 45-50 (for the pair).

Regards
Pedro.

Hi all

The first part of the Upcoming new Accessories for Robobuilder is now available for sale on our Online store:

- Fighting Forearms (Metal) - http://robosavvy.com/store/product_info ... ts_id/1640

The cost is 32.50GBP inc. VAT (27.08 exc VAT).

These Metal Forearms are a very nice mod for Robobuilder and are also suitable for competition and demonstration.

There is also a nice video on the product page that shows Robobuilder doing a One Arm handstand with very good stability and attempting the Cartwheel (he's not elegant at that but he does it!)

<EMBED height="399" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="502" src="http://flvs.daum.net/flvPlayer.swf?vid=OkdVAsx1MlY$" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" bgcolor="#000000"></EMBED>

The most interesting part starts at minute 1:20 (not much to see before that)
