Hi Robotactor
Just to be clear as there seems to be some persisting confusion:
When I say
"- Control the Robot with a Joystick
- Control the Robot through Voice commands
- Use text to Speech (on the computer) to have text read back to you and at the same time make the Robot move "
ALL of these activities are
processed on the PC in MSRDS.
The Sound Output will come
from the PC (NOT the Robot) and you need to speak
TO the PC for Speech Recognition (NOT to the Robot).
The only thing MSRDS does that relates to the Robot is send commands to make it move as a reaction to whatever logic you program in MSRDS.
(for example walk forward move after the word "forward" is recognized by MSRDS on the PC. There is an exmaple for this in the Robobuilder Documentation for MSRDS)
Furthermore as I explained there are currently
no Robobuilders for sale that can do any sort of Sound Output or Speech Recognition for that matter.
As listed on the product pages, depending on the version they come with Distance Sensor, Acceleration Sensor and Bluetooth connectivity.
With regards to adding Speech Output for Bioloid as Nuno explained there is no solution for this available from the manufacturer.
You can build your own hack and use, for example an MP3 trigger or similar but please understand this is a "hack". If you choose to go ahead with it, please share your progress as we're always keen to learn about the ingenuity of our users
Regards
Pedro
