Hi all

Robobuilder has released a new version of their Android Application.

This new version is still Beta but it already includes a large number of improvements such as support for Accelerometer and support for Voice commands (we haven't managed to get this part working yet though).

The app shows placeholders for Action builder and Motionbuilder suggesting Robobuilder is planning to add these functionalities to the APK. Please note these are placeholders and the actual functionality is not available in this version.

At present, this APK is still only supporting remote control.

Support for Voice recognition
(we haven't managed to make this work on our set up yet)

The APK and a Detailed User Manual (explaining Installation and Usage of all the features) is available for download here http://robosavvy.com/RoboSavvyPages/Rob ... Manual.zip .
(please note this APK is for Android 2.2 and above)

Just a quick heads up: only Robobuilders equipped with Bluetooth can be Remote Controlled from Android.

Feel free to try it and post back your thoughts!
We liked it very much. We find it a major improvement over the current version.

Regards
Pedro

Thx

Hi l3v3rz

I have re uploaded the file to the server just to rule out any possible corruption during the upload process.

We have successfully tested the Application on a phone running Android 2.3.

The manufacturer did not send indication about (in)compatibility with specific versions of Android. We were assuming it would work on all Android versions.

I will go back to them and ask about this.

Regards
Pedro.

Hi

We got information that this new app is designed for Android 2.2 and above.

I also asked about the Built in Motion Builder and ActionBuilder and - as expected - it is planned to be released but afaik it's still being debugged. That's the reason why these functionalities are not yet available.

I've also edited the original post to include this information.

Regards
Pedro.
