Tiny USB Wireless N Dongle

Hi, I am getting my first robot kit this Christmas (KHR-2HV) and a RoBoard 100.
I run an IT comapny and one of our suppliers has just sent me this link to a tiny wireless dongle, I am hoping it will work on the Roboard when I get it, thought I would share the link.

The chip is RTL8188CU

seems like there is some linux support according to this thread from few days ago says someone has verified the driver works:

so is there anyone interestng to RoBoard release the USB WLAN dongle ?

The chipset is same as posted by RTL8188, support Linux and Windows, test under RoBoard already, this dongle also can hook up Antenna

actually our company already produce this, but I think there is no market

What's intriguing about this particular RTL8188CU based dongle mentioned above is size and price of US$10.

However, what are the potential limitations?
What are the implications of doing wifi over USB vs. miniPCI bus?
What are the implications of doing wifi-N/G with such a tiny antenna?

I've had little luck with 802.11n Mini-PCI cards on the Roboard with Linux. So I'd be interested in a USB solution, though think I'd prefer external antenna hookup over a compact design.

I need 300 mbit though, the devices in this thread, and the Linux compatible ones I can find are all 150 mbit.
