Anyone using Debian with Roboard and programming with C# (Mono)?

I'm curious about if it works well and about performance, although I don't need (at least currently) too much performance.

As I said in this thread, it's very agreeable to program and debug Bioloid creations using Visual Studio, C# and the .Net platform for the HP Ipaq. I'm not usually an advocate of Microsoft (I suffered MFC several years) but .Net platform is really nice.

We havn't tested on Linux + Mono platform; but for WinXP platform, the .Net performance on RoBoard seems not to be bad.

:)

Thanks, Roboard. But I'm quitting" Windows, may be C# is a little relapse ;)

At least, I don't want to be fully dependent on Windows. I use Windows and Ubuntu, but Debian it's ok for me too.

I'm not here to start any language war, but if you like C# you might like Delphi (or Free Pascal or Lazarus) which are all based on Turbo Pascal which was developed by the same guy who developed C# (there was a reason Microsoft hired him). You can find out more info in about the middle of this page:
http://www.turbocontrol.com/embeddedfreepascal.htm

If you want to get a little taste for how simple cross-platform programming can be you might want to look at this page:
http://www.turbocontrol.com/easyfpgui.htm
I've verified those mini distros work on an industrial board similar to the RoBoard and eBox systems.

I totally forget about this post...and yeap I also like pascal'ish languages....
Btw, C#/mono works great on a roboard-110, we was able to even control serialport and other weird stuff all from c# ...If you want to push it, you can make monodevelop to run :-) (just for fun, not actually workable)..
