Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I tried to rewrite a calibration software, that works similar to Hamid's Camera_Calib.exe. It was a little bit tricky, because calibration also uses non-Robotis-protocol communication. I have still several problems managing the LUT-Programming. I think I have a timing problem in my implementation, because communication often is just broken or I get nonsense ouput. Is there anybody, who works on similar tasks? Is there further information about the LUT available, Hamid?

Hi everyone,

got my new cam but I have a problem. This is all i've done :

- turn on cm-5
- run robot terminal
- click on "files" and "transmit files"
- select calib.hex
- close robot terminal
- run camera_calib
- open com port 1

but the camera is not found !!!!

please help me

Oops, I think i made a mistake. I tried to reset the camera with the reset command in the terminal. I managed to check the connection between cm5 and the cam with success (terminal returned the id 100, but the cam was still not found in calib soft). However, there's no more response signal from the cam since i've reseted it.

I guess it's dead right now. :cry: sad ...

Hi XTE,

It seems you did not load the flash the CM5 correctly as you would not be able to access the CM5 commands if you did. Please ensure you followed the flash steps illustrated in this thread earlier if you are using a terminal client. I dont think the camera is dead dont panic

Ok so I flashed the firmware properly (got the "r" answer in terminal). Run calib.exe but when I check the camera it is still not found but all the leds on the cm5 suddenly light.

I tryed to connect havimo but "no found"

I made all steps in this thread but not works.

In terminal i get r response, but when i type r, all leds go on.

Proved with serial, usb adapter, uploaded many times and nothing

- Tried to download the example.c (tracking program) on the cm-5 but it doesn't work. When should I type "T" ?

I didn't return it. I needed a cam so I bought another one. Maybe we can return them, but I don't even know if it's possible.

The HaViMo is doing quite well and is still the best robotic vision and object-tracking solution on the market at this pricepoint.
