Well, I've been lurking around here for far too long

First I'd like to say thanks for everyone, for the great info posted here. I've learned a lot by searching and reading through the posts. Especially thanks for noobs for the stupid questions, and the experts for answering them! It really helped me in understanding and getting into this humanoid non sense
About the walk gait.... This is the first and only thing that I've done with the 2hv so far. It's almost there, but needs a bit more heel to toe roll. I'm an animator by trade, so I get sort of critical of my walk cycles. I've since added some new snowboard like feet for it:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/68422197@N00/692299506/ to help with a more realistic gait.
I've tried various materials for traction on the bottom of these feet. Here is a break down:
-Electrical tape: too slippery, made almost no difference
-Cork sheet - too bouncy and slippery
-Duct Tape- pretty good, slightly slippery but easy to turn
-Foam tape - too bouncy and throws the gyros for a loop!
-R/C monster truck rubber tire treads- too grippy, and slightly too bouncey, interfered with the gyros a bit.
-Rubber tape - The best... just gripy enough, but still can turn ok.
I'm in the process of adjusting the motions to fit the new shoes, should have something done shortly

And thank yous Limor for the post

and of course Robots-Dreams for the coverage!
