Hello guys,
I just finished a couple of days ago to build my KHR-1HV+Genex suit... that was funny :)
So after a deep research on internet and in this forum I can't find useful information about different things,
these are my questions I'll hope that someone can help me :

Problem A (gyro):
It's better if I put the two gyro near the hips or near the shoulder and exactly in the middle? does it matter?
Acutally my left/right gyro drive the two foot servos (ch 15 and ch 21) with 2x gain but those seems to do nothing...
the front/back gyro that affect ch 13/14/19/20 are vibrating and not counter rotate for keep in balance the robot.
I can tell also that the voltage on the analog sensor are ok (around 1.46v). so any tips guys?

Problem B (battery):
I got the battery from the kit and I got an uk adaptor for charging it, I don't really know for how long I need to
charge the battery. Probably I need just to test the voltage after 1hour, 2 hours and see if it go up or stay still.
guys what do you think?

Problem C (rest):
I saw in a picture that a guy manage to change the voltage number in the option menu, so my robot automatically turn off
when he reach 12v, how I can override this setting to reach 09,0V REST ? I tried to change the value but it seems to not work.

Problem D (acceleration sensor):
RAS-2 acceleration sensor !!!The sensor has two input but I got only 1 analog input left on my board, what can I do with it?
there is no information/configuration/setting on forum or website about it :(

Problem E (radio device and controller):
Guys I tried different time to follow the instruction on the manual to set up the radio comunication with the remote controller and the pc but still nothing happen... Maybe I need to try with another computer or there are some setting that I forgot to put? I'm using a dell m70 for testing.

thanks in advance,

daxx

hi daxx2k,
I too have the roughly the same setup, genex suit and two gyros.
For charging i bought an r/c battery charger with onboard monitoring via lcd. it charges the battery correctly and also allows you to cycle the battery to improve its performance.

I found the voltage setting weird. I set it to play a motion when it dropped very low, but it had the occasional spasm when it was on a newly charged attery/ constant power supply.... I still need to investigate that.

The gyros i placed under one of the arm servos the other i placed on top of the r/c reciever (both glued inplace). I think the best place is inside between the two servos, but mine seem fine where they are.

I believe that the only way you can increase the number of sensor inputs is by using a RSC-1 Sensor board (HV) which you can buy on robosavvy. Although i think the documentation and software is not yet translated. So for the time being ive steered clear of additional sensors.

The r/c controller, if you mean the usb computer controller(with ics usb), i have yet to get working..... Last i read the controller software was only for the normal wired control. While typing this ive just thought, i may have another avenue to explore to get it working. I really want to get it working as it cost me alot to get it shipped over from america.

Hope this was of some help

Don't wanna hijack, but can you post if picture of your 1HV in the Genex suit? I thought it only fit the 2HV. Thanks, Marc

Hi there

About the gyro's location. The best place I found for them is in the middle in between the servo's. I took the head/plate of any blue tacked them I place, I tried other places and this seamed the best. Plus there out of the way in the chest. As far as setting them up I found waist playing around with them that have say the feet and the hip set low 2 - 5 is better then another set high 8+.

If the servo's are shacking then try adjusting the seetting for the servo's to the football setting. This seamed to helpout.

The standard battry is rubbish bin it and get a lipo a 1000 mha will fit in side the chest easily and there a lot lighter.

Hello guys these are the pictures where I placed the gyros:

Gyro Front/Back

Gyro Left/Right

@Kry10
yep the low battery animation start also when the battery is fully charged, weird!!
so also the r/c control and the usb radio control is not working for you as well...
strange....

@lampcov
ok when I got a sec I'll publish it

@Robo1
Where I can change the servo setting? I tried to follow the manual but it is not working... also where I can find the "football" servos setting?
Can you tell me the exact battery and charger that I need to buy ? after I need to connect it normally?

thanks

Hello guys,
a big update :

- the radio controller now it is working.
- all the gyro are installed but a need to tweak them more.
- I added properly a couple of red led into the eye and for the power supply I'm using the head servo hihihi.

He need a better home position... I still changing it because I'm not sure that all the animation are fine with the Genex suit...

a picture of my baby :P and soon more pictures and videos!!

cheers,
