I purchased my 1HV from Japan as I was living in Taiwan and getting to Tokyo using airmiles was a good way of killing a weekend when away from hom and family.

The point being that the KRT-3 came with 25MHz crystals (24.975 to be exact)

Now in the UK and most of the work in fact that frequency is in the 12 metre amateur radio band and is not licencable for RC applications.

Can you just use 27MHz crystals in the KRT-3 ? My guess is that it is a crude device and the 2 MHz shift should not challenge the system too much.

Has anyone done this ? If you buy a KRT-3 or any of the other RC options for Kondo robots in the UK do they come with 27 MHz crystals ?

Sorry if this has been posted before but my quick search did not find anything !

I am assuming that 27 MHz is still used in the UK ! Or did it all get moved to 40MHz?

It is intended for indoor use and has low transmission power (.. watts).
