Hi guys,
I'm pretty new to this as I just discovered this hobby a couple weeks ago, I've been studying up on it ever since. I'm a mechanical engineer and have developed several fully automated machines for industry all under PC control. I have some C/C++ programming background, I have several co-workers who are also interested in doing a project. I'm pretty sure I want to build a biped (just so much cooler than a roll-around platform) with the plan to gradually evolve it into an autonomous platform.
I have an RCB3-HV controller (not the J version) and a single KRS-4024HV servo that I have played with it a little using the H2H software. Other than a bunch of RC truck stuff that's my starting point.
My initial plan is as follows:
Controller: RCB3 w/ H2H
Frame: Lynxmotion Scout - this seems flexible
Servo: KRS-2350HV red version (12X) (high torque 29.5 kg/cm, fine position resolution, smooth)
Gyros: KRG-2 or KRG-3
Questions:
Does anyone know where I can find a drawing of the KRS-2350HV servo? I found the overall dimensions but not a complete drawing i.e. output shaft location, flange positions. I want to confirm the physical fit with the lynxmotion brackets.
The KRS-2350HV has a lot of torque not sure of the current draw, can the RCB3 handle 12 of these servos? I may buy a pack of 10 and then use two lower torque for maybe the ankles???
I want a strong smooth platform for future development and payload capacity. Please let me know your thoughts.
