I'm new. To tell the truth, I've considered the robot hobby before once, but life got in the way. But now I'm back with tons of questions, and I'm posing them to the Kondo forum because that is the direction I'm leaning right now. I apologize because I know these answers are out there, but between old infor and new info and finding it, I'm getting a little confused and could really use some straight forward answers.
1. The KHR-2HV comes with (broken) english manuals and software?
2. The KHR-1HV does NOT come with any english manuals or software?
3. The KHR-1HV can not use the english software from the 2HV?
4. Is there any possibility of assembling the 1HV if I don't read or speak Japanese?
5. Can one or both of these be set up to use a remote by an english only person, or will I be stuck with pc control only?
6. I usually like to overdo things, what would I be missing with the -2HV as opposed to the -1HV... (two servos I know) what movements, poses, or actions for instance?
7. I'm in the Technology field, but I'm not a programmer, should I just give up and get the Futaba?
I really like the way the Kondo machines look and the video I've seen of them. The Japanese manuals do intimidate me a little, but that said, I've built plastic Japanese robot models with japanese only instructions since I was about seven years old. Not as technical, but I can follow pictures well is my point.
I appreciate any responses. I live in TX in the US which isn't a big robot competition area, but I want something that is fun, educational, and possibly competitive given the opportunity. Thanks again for taking the time to read this!
