Hey tinman, I see you've been working on the manual too! I hope it's going well. I've posted a "how-to" assembly guide, you can review it here: http://70.90.186.20/index.htm
It's stopped at the Calibrate servos part - haven't made much progress on that part of the manual, are you doing any better? Have you started assembly?
Why not take a few minutes to review what I've done, and let me know what you think? After I figure out the calibration process, I'll finish it up.(in truth, I've already fully assembled, but haven't powered it up because I've not got the calibration done). ttyl jerry

Hi Jerry,

You've certainly been busy and done a really good job as well. I've only just reached page 37, but what you've done is great. I was jus going overlay the text back on top of the JPEGs and create a new PDF.

I've been so caught up in the translation that i haven't even got started on the KHR2 yet. Hopefully i'll get a chance to get started this afternoon as i've taken the day off.

Do you know if anyone has translated the software manual yet and how easy is it to use the heart to heart software with GUI in japanese?

Thanks for what you've done so far and i look forward to the rest.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your efforts on your website! I stopped at the same point you did this saturday...servo calibrate. Working from the japanese manual was not that difficult. All the screw types where identified and the illustrations where well done. I have software installed on my computer that will translate kanji from my clipboard. I am able able to copy and paste the text in the PDF file and translate the important bits and pieces. It does not always work well though. It looks like I will purchase the ICS servo manager to set the servo limits on some of the critical locations, just to keep them from hitting the chassis during extreme motion. I agree with you with respect to the excellent customer service from Matt and Tom Fisher at Roboporium. They go out of their way to keep the customer happy!!! They do rock! Now on to the RCB-3J manual...ugh!

EDIT - Found the ICS manager inside of Heart-to-Heart v3.0

When I registered my KHR-2 on the kondo-robot.com site there is a comment area where I pleaded for a HeartToHeart3 in English, trumping up how much robot business they are missing out on in the USA as there are no humaniod competitors. So if you do register make sure to mention the need. I used Babblefish to translate.
