~6 700 GBP + VAT ....

Orac made a wonderful Soccer Table for our UK Humanoid Soccer event last year (covered in RoboSavvy Banners). It worked very well. Since he designed to be easily dismantleable, he has taken it to all the Micromouse events since.

In any market place it is always good to have a few competing products on offer. I am sure that Orac would be able to build a custom build of his robot football pitch at a competitive price. Perhaps it could be marketed as the RoboSavvy Football Pitch.

Hi BillB

I myself also find it an extremely high price; as you can see I am quoting the manufacturer. I just converted the prices form YEN to GBP...

I choose to post the full email from them for your information although as you can see we have decided not to add it to our store as we don't really expect much demand ... (not a great surprise here LOL)

In any case, the extras list may be of use for anyone looking into building a robot capable of playing soccer.

Regards
Pedro

Thanks Pedro,

It would be interesting if you could buy the official ball separately. We experimented with different ball sizes and weights, all had their pro's and con's.

If the official footballs were reasonably priced there may be a (albeit small) market for them.

Hi BillB

If you'd like to purchase some balls please send me an email - pedro at robosavvy - or a PM.

I would just need to know the number of balls you need and your shipping address (or customer number).

The price should be the one advertised.

I don't really know if we'll be stocking these... do you think there will be a demand for this?
I don't know how popular soccer is among European owners of KHR :?

Regards
Pedro.
