THE ROBOVIE M V3 IS A VERY EXCELLENT ROBOT AND IS VERY ADVANCED.

BUT THE KONDO KHR 3HV IS A FAIRLY NEW ROBOT, SO IT COULD AND MIGHT HAVE SOME BETTER FEATURES.

IF ANYONE OWNS ANY OF THESE ROBOTS COULD THEY PLEASE HELP ME OUT :)

-THANKS :D

PS. I JUST REGISTERED TO THE BOARDS TODAY WHOPEE SO I JUDT WANT TO SAY HI TO ALL THE MEMBERS! :!:

Hi robogeek3,

I' m also a newbie but I currently build a Kondo KHR-3HV.
I' m not sure if you can compare the two. I like the Kondo but at the moment the software is in japanese - waiting for the english version. :D

Kondo KHR-3HV

+ perfect grade
+ aluminum and fiberglass reinforced plastic
+ servo max. torque 14 Kg
+ 17 DOF

optional:

gyro (2)
accel. sensor
remote control
extra DOF (5)

- japanese software

~ 1.400,- $

Robovie-M V3

+ all aluminum
+ 22 DOF
+ gyro (2)
+ accel. sensor
+ english software and manual

optional:

remote control

- price

~ 3.500,- $

I prefer the Kondo because I wanna build my own robot suit. In the future (if I have some more money :D ) I wanna buy two gyros, accel. sensor and Kondos remote system.
I don' t use this robot for soccer or scientific.

Make your choice... :?:

regards Jürgen

With Robovie you are on your own. good luck trying to find any online information and other people that have this robot and talk about their experiences online. (there is some information but mostly in Japanese)
With KHR3 you will find tonnes of information on this forum and others, and English documentation is coming along. Kondo have historically released many add-ons to their KHR series robots as time goes by so you have at least 3 years or so to look forward to new Kondo add-ons and 3rd party mods and hacks and if you have issues, you are sure to find people online to help you.

Hi,

yes, Robovie M is really impressive, but anyway, it is a product of before 2006. The software and the Controller was already phased out.

Also, the Melissa hand is not suitable for KHR3, the size is too large for that
