Does anyone know how to reset the rcb-3j controller board? I messed up while I was setting the home position and I can't fix it.
Thanks,
Red

Hi Red. I can't tell you how to reset, but would you mind shooting me an e-mail of the procedure you used to set it, and what went wrong? If you do, I'll incorporate it into my web site for instructions....
Visit my site here: http://70.90.186.20 I'll put your name on the credits page if I can use what you've created. Doesn't have to be pretty or anything...

Thanks!

J

Your guide is very nice and easy to follow, I used "Part 1" and then I set off on my own. I see you added a "Part 2" in your guide! Very nice. I guess I am lucky, I was able to set up the software and calibrate the servos on my first try...

Also, I can take pictures of the weird position and stuff. The weird position only happens when I try to fix the problem though.

EDIT: Oh I forgot, I figured out that the little dot on the servo axel is the zero position. I didn't use it to calibrate though, it's just interesting.

Well... Uh... Fixed!!! :D I figured it all out. It was not the servos that were screwed up, it was the computer settings! I had messed up on my laptop, but I just tried to fix it again, this time on my desktop. The servos weren't doing anything weird this time, so it must have been the computer that had the zero position mixed up. I am glad I finally fixed it. I will have to copy the settings over to the laptop. Now to re-charge the battery and get this baby walking! :)

Thanks for your support Jerry!

Oh, here is what happened on my laptop:
I was so excited when I finally got to set my home position I accidentally set it in the POS1 window and not the window for setting the home position. This made the robot think that the zero position was the home position. The servos are set to zero, but the robot is in the standing position. I tried moving the servos in to the actual zero position and then setting it so the home position window says that all of the servos are in zero. It worked... Until I pressed the button that makes the robot go into the home position. For some reason it went into this weird position instead of what I set.
