I need some help. I got the home position set :D , and I sent the data to the RCB3-J. The problem is that I can't get the robot to go into the home postition when it starts up. Can someone help me? I am following the english RCB3-J manual.

Thanks,
Red

Hi Red,

I think you should set the startup file as show:

which recall your startup motion every time you turn on KHR2

I got it to work! I was doing what your picture shows, (second drop-down menu) but I wasn't transfering the start up to the robot when I thought I was. The battery is out of energy, so I am charging it now. Tomorrow I am going to get the controller set up :D . Yay. Also, What is the third drop-down menu and the second-to-the top check box?

Thanks,
Red

Hi, well, the 3rd drop-down is to recall a motion when the battery is low as defined in the window.
Here is my motion:

the 2nd to top check box is necessary when you use the KCR-1 controller to make repetitive motion I think.

:)

Is my battery defective?

Ok, thanks. I am having a little trouble. The servos are shutting off in the middle of the motions, and I just charged the battery. Do any of you know what is happening? Also, how long should I be charging the battery?

Also, a "Battery for KHR-1 (HV) with Chest Extension 800ma" would work for my robot, right? Also, how long do I charge that, and how long does it last on a single charge? Same questions for the 300ma battery that came with my robot.

Thanks,
Red

well, I think its much depend on your situation.

wether you alway stop at the same post,
have you measure the voltage of the battery?
make sure the empty of battery do not call for a motion first (just as I show you)

if the voltage is 10V and the battery is in good condition I think it will work (except the working time is different)

Rad, I am very interested on how KHR-1 (HV) with Chest Extension,
how are the 6 servos are inserted into the body, had you made some photos of it? can I have a look :)

Unfortunately, I do not have a KHR-1 with the torso extension. I was actually asking if that type of battery would work for a KHR-2HV. About the torso extension, I think that it makes the torso thicker, which allows for the 2 extra servos to fit. There are some pictures of the kit here. Thank you helping with my robot Ray, I will check the voltage as you suggested.

EDIT: I set the low battery motion. I think that the battery is defective because when I turned the robot off and then back on, it stood up and then kneeled down and played the low battery motion. Well, I guess I am gonna have to get a new battery.

Hey Ray, is the little voltage thing in the options menu for the low battery thing? Cause I changed it to 9v like you did, and it didn't do that motion for a while longer.

well, its strange, rad, :?

have you check your "low voltage" motion working by just calling it using KRC1 or just pressing the "play" key in the HTHj?

have you check the voltage is really below 9V?

regards

Ray.

Well, the robot is playing the motion by itself. I can't find my voltage tester, so I can't test the voltage :? .
