Wow, you must be upset ! I can see your reaction is the same as mine would be, and you now want to replace or find alternative parents. However this does have hidden costs and risks, so maybe best to forgive them (Again!).
I think the original charger was only 110V or 12 V input, so there should be lots sitting unused in 220/240V countries. If not, do what folks in these countries did and just get a local 10.8V NiMh charger.
Or, play the guilt trick on the graciously forgiven parents and get a LiPo upgrade !
