Hi guys.
No way to use the hands like you wrote upper.
If it was installed both with the KHR-3 it looks like shovel of the excavator.
There are too big and too heavy for.
Much better to use Melissa hand type 2, however the cost of the ones is much more (three time more as I remember). But it is not a main problem. The main problem is - if you used the one - your robot has not a right to fall down, even a one time
, couse the hand is very, very delicate made.
We bought the hands for JO-ZER0 Type 2 robot , and modificated to the KHR-3.Mainly it were to change a servos, Futaba RS304MQ-->KRS2552HV, it takes 30 minutes, we have to use a drill .The cost of ones was near €280-300 per pair (dont remember how much , it was some month ago) including delivery from Japan, plus you have to buy the additional two servos for.
The seller is here (we bought from)
http://item.rakuten.co.jp/tsukumorobo/0405992598014/
The another alternative sourse is here
http://www.akibarei.com/product_info.ph ... cts_id=122
I think , it is interesting to see, how a hobbists reach the same purpose

Kind regards
