Appart from the afore mentioned repair jobs I cant see a practical
use for it yet but I bet someone comes up with something clever
before long.
I suspect "doodling" will get old real fast for most people.
The repair idea could have uses outside of 3D printing though.

Well it does look like interesting options for Doodlers.

BUT. What will Bostik (or who ever invented Hot Glue Guns) have to say about this.

Look at the way that 3D Systems got stuck into Formlabs.

The pen works the same way as most DIY 3d printers. It is just in a large pen form not mounted inside a box.

If you follow the Formlabs blog posts it looks like the 3d Systems patient lawsuit is not effecting them at all.
