Some amazing robots showed up for the Robo-One competitions in Tokyo this weekend. Most of them follow the original KHR-1 platform design, with some Robonova-1 based entries, and quite a few unique designs of their own creation. We still have one more day left - the Finals - but the 32 top competitors already qualified on Saturday.

In addition to the strange costume/character designs, there are also designs that incorporate visual tracking, sound, one that came out looking like a quadroped then transformed itself into a biped then transformed into a different biped, and a lot more.

Several of the entries are able to make small jumps, and Dynamizer (Sugiura family) can actually jump (hop) balanced on one foot-
