On March 4th, the kind people of Makerbot in NY loaded onto a DHL truck 1000 lbs / 39 boxes of 3D printers and stuff destined for RoboSavvy's UK warehouse. Makerbot documented this in a video clip.
Shipping seemed to have gone well till March 8 4am in Belgium at which point tracking for this shipment stops.
DHL don't know where are our 39 boxes. Their stories and excuses range from ridiculous to annoying. We have been talking with them every couple of hours for the past days. The latest theory is that because the package content was marked as "PRINTERS", the boxes were not allowed to board a plane in Germany on transit to UK.
[ The word "printer" is linked with the word "toner" which has been black-listed together with weapon grade plutonium since the purported terrorist incident last October where a bomb was hidden in a laser printer toner tray ]
So the story goes that DHL loaded our boxes onto truck in Germany or Belgium (?), their tracking numbers were modified due to changed itinerary (?) and they are at this time somewhere in UK either in a DHL warehouse in Heathrow or Maidenhead or in stuck in customs.
