A new robot servo RS-1270 come in my stock. Servos are make in Tai Wan DMP Electronics Inc. The Servo is good for make a human robot.
The Servo Spec:
Coreless servo motor
Digital 4096 with steel gear and 2 ball bearings
Back-horn design
Weight: 70g
Size : 40.4 x 20.1 x 40.3 (mm)
Torque force: 35.0 kg-cm@7.4V / 486.0 oz-in@7.4V
Speed: 0.11 sec/60 degrees
Voltage: 6.0 ~ 7.4 V, suggested 7.4V

I just test my servo C-mount CA-01, it is can be fix with the RoBoard RS-1270.

I was a bit surprised by the limited angle of movement in your video, so checked the spec. and it said 130 degrees max . This seems rather limited.

Also it is hard to believe they have 4096 resolution over that range, so what does digital 4096 mean ?

Is there any position feedback capability, it is not mentioned

I just use a servo tester in the video, this kind of the tester just have around 60 degree turning angel. The video just want to show the C-mount can be fix with this servo. The other thing 4096 is the motor model number .

The servo does seem to offer very good torque for the price (35kgf.cm).

However, if I am not mistaken, it doesn't have position feedback, right?

This is a bit of a limitation for specific robotics projects but for other applications where feedback is not needed it seems like an interesting option.

Also, the horn is plastic, right? Is there a possibility of metal horn to support the high torques?

Yes , the servo have very good torque,

right ,the RS-1270 is using the PWM signal,
so it didn't have feedback.

yes , the horn is plastic ,but at the manual 1.3 Mechanical Specification,
the Horn gear spline is 25T, this means can use 25T aluminum horn to replace it. 25T is a standard with Futaba.

Hi BloodKeith, I Replaced all of Hitec servos with pro gear, leaving the controller mr-c3024, are very happy with the product, much more Powerful, Slightly Slower! But for the price paid I am satisfied! Not Being Able to say for the Predecessors! Surely these RS-1270 will be a good product if you recommended! If you want can watch my video. For the coming status, I will be going to design some parts for the RS1270.
these parts can be use with the DMP RS-1270 & ProGear BL806. Then I will be make a twins robot TK05-ProGear & TK05-DMP.

What is the operating angle of the ProGear ?
