We've recently received several sample colours of PLA to be tested, thanks to the folks at ColorFabb. The colours... they are amazing!

While we females in the office "oww"-ed and "aww"-ed at the impressive range of colours, the men were fascinated by the strength and flexibility of this PLA hybrid. Everyone is happy.

The ColorFabb range of colours is made of PLA with an additive of PHA to give it some more flexibility and make it less brittle. It combines all of the advantages that make PLA so easy to work with (low shrinkage factor, excellent layer bonding) with a bit of the flexibility of of ABS.

They come in beautifully cool colours, beyond the dull black, white, red, orange, that we're used too, offering instead, great colours like Lila, Greenish-Beige and Mint Turquoise.

We can't wait to start testing 3D prints on our MakerBot machines!
