Meet the SON OF ROBONOVA

First the concept...

I was playing around making grippers and after listening to podcasts from Talking Robots http://lis.epfl.ch/resources/podcast/ . I decided to look at using the spare servo channels to create extra-robot entities as I had lots of bit laying around, and a battery charging.

I created a set of subroutines that can be called by various time/sequence/logic/random triggers, that create the ERE's behaviour independently of the RN1's routine.

The extra-robot entities [ERE's] can be in the form of pets, drones, sensor carriers, manga characters, weapons and so on.

So far I have deployed a 3 servo drone character and a 3 bot swarm attack pod.

I am keeping alot of it close to my chest but I will share with you the SON OF ROBONOVA
This was the first ERE I made while waiting for the cells to charge. He is just called Son.
I also include some pictures of my lash-up grippers that were made in under an hour.

Enjoy...

So instead of labelling servo numbers on the actual servos themselves, I have this picture posted next to my PC, if it helps anyone:

Marcus - Son of Robonova: really cute. It looks like he could get down and boogie with his 1 DOF.

Beermat: Thanks for sharing the servo identification chart. It's a much improved version over the manual on page 72.

Hey marcus, apparently robonova has another son.
This originally came from the hitec site. He appears
to be "big brother." Do we have any other entries
into the family??? Marcus, I still like your version
best. :P
