I also added a gyro to my RN. The model I used was the MPI PG-2033 Micro Piezo Gyro. Datasheet
here, showing gain and setup screws. When I did this, I set both screws all the way down to nothing and gradually increased until he moved a lot, but didn't start going crazy.
I'm not super pleased with it, but it is something, anyway. Video of my robot with the gyro is
here. When it stands on only one foot, it is pretty impressive. I got all my infos from this forumz, and used code and the great howto on
theoddrobot.com.
